Spread the Love Boutique

Spread the Love Boutique is the result of funding received from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, to explore and develop a Social Enterprise. The Boutique opened in 2018 and supports the Dawn House Mission and is a platform for women living in poverty to learn transferable retail employment skills within a supported employment program. 

 

The Social Enterprise was developed as a way to generate funds that financially support Dawn House and the women that they serve. The concept of the Boutique was an idea that was brought to us by a supporter in the community during our research and development phase.  After we completed our market research it became a dream not just an idea. "Spread the Love" was a slogan used by Dawn House for years and it was felt that the Boutique would be a platform where women could Spread the Love to other women. 

 

Spread the Love Boutique specializes in selling previously loved designer wedding and formal dresses at a fraction of the actual purchase price. Dresses have been donated or placed on consignment giving us an inventory of over 200 designer dresses for brides, bridesmaids, mothers'-of-the-brides, flower girls, and dresses for prom.
